Lauren’s ceremony was at First Baptist Church which was where we both grew up and met. This was my first time meeting Caleb, but he has a way of making you feel like you have known him for years. They had such a beautiful wedding that reflected their love and submission to God and desire to serve Him together. Caleb’s father led the ceremony in a way that reflected their personalities and was very unique to them. But my favorite part of the ceremony was seeing and capturing Caleb’s face when he saw his beautiful bride walking towards him. I still can’t get over the fact that it is my job to capture moments like this…I feel so blessed!
What an amazing weekend!! We shot Lauren’s wedding Friday and Diana’s on Saturday with their joint reception Saturday evening. This was a first for us and even though I can’t figure out what day it is we had a blast capturing the love these couples shared. Lauren and Diana are from a family of 9 siblings and are best friends. It only seemed fitting that they had their wedding reception together and it was fun to capture some shots of these sisters together in their beautiful wedding dresses.
After Lauren and Caleb’s ceremony we went to a beautiful location during sunset to take their portraits. This was the perfect New England setting…it had everything from a rustic red barn, white distressed fence, cross overlooking the mountains, and a beautiful forest as our backdrops. You really couldn’t ask for a better setting or subjects! These two…I still can’t get over how natural they were with each other in front of the camera! This really is not an easy task, but they were AMAZING! So easy to pose, willing to do anything, and perfect location…doesn’t get much better!
One of my favorites parts of their sunset portrait session was by the cross overlooking the beautiful new England mountains. Caleb and Lauren took a few minutes to kneel by the cross and pray. This shot was not posed, it was genuine, which is probably the word I would use to describe them both if I could only choose one. A little background story on this cross…when Tyde Richards bought this property he wanted a daily reminder every time he looked out at his beautiful view that God has been good to him and his family. He made a video to document this memory. Click here to view
