Today marks 5 years of marriage to my best friend <3
We have celebrated being together every year for the past 10 years (5 years dating, 5 married).
But this year feels different.
2020 has not been what any of us have expected. A worldwide pandemic uprooting our everyday normal. And the same day that quarantine started Andrew was diagnosed with cancer uprooting our world in a completely different way.
I have been reminded this year more than ever that life and time are a gift. My marriage is a gift. And every year, day and minute with Andrew is a gift.
I am thanking God for another beautiful year of marriage with my best friend and praying that we use our time well and that our marriage brings glory to Him in every season.
Today as I reflect over the past 5 years, I am filled with so much love for this man. I admire and respect him more than I can express in words. Seeing his response these past few months to world events and a scary diagnosis has made me love him more than I realized I could. I am so grateful for the life we have together and the ways we have grown together.
Andrew, you have always respected me and taken care of me. You love me so well and so intentionally by the little things you do each day. You see the best in people and strive to be the best version of yourself. I have always admired you for your strong and steady faith, optimistic outlook on life, and your consistency in the areas that matter. Building a life with you and being your mrs is my greatest joy. I love you so much and can’t wait to see what this next year brings <3
Every year Andrew knows that I love to have anniversary photos done, so this year he surprised me with a session with Rachel Girouard Photography at Harkness State Park. I love printing a yearly album and hanging updated photos in our home and just reflecting on the past year together. I will treasure these photos forever, thank you Rachel!
