A Intimate Al Fresco Wedding Celebration at Smith Farm Gardens | Connecticut Wedding Photographer
Caitlin & Travis met on Candlewood Lake during the summer of 2019 They both love the outdoors and being in nature making the beautiful grounds of Smith Farm Gardens the perfect place for their wedding. They envisioned a timeless, romantic and elegant day adorned with white flowers and lots of greenery. Caitlin and Wildflower Events & design did a beautiful job planning, designing & executing the day to reflect their vision. The day could not have felt more romantic & whimsical with so many beautiful personal touches that they both incorporated to make it a very memorable & sentimental day.
We started off with a nice spring cloudy day. Minutes before Caitlin walked down the aisle it started to rain heavily. Wildflower Events & design and so many other incredible vendors quickly executed plan B. It was amazing to see everyone working together with such a joyful spirit to make sure Caitlin & Travis still had a beautiful ceremony. Once everything was set up under the tent and Caitlin walked down the aisle and saw Travis for the first time I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. The excitement & joy on their faces made every moment worth it. They did not let the rain ruin their day, it was still absolutely perfect and gave an added element of romance to the day.
My favorite parts of the day was the beautiful ways that Caitlin honored and included her father. She wrote him a beautiful poem in the program and included so many other little touches like a rose on his chair, a banana foster bar for his favorite dessert & his cufflinks. Another favorite was listening to their electric violinist Cal Morris perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Caitlin & Travis were so excited about flying him down to perform for their guests and he was an incredible talent!
After their ceremony the rain cleared up and we were able to go outside for some of their portraits and they were able to have their reception outside under the twinkling lights. They had one long dinner table that all their guests sat at enjoying a delicious dinner and each others sweet toasts and company. It was a perfect way to end their perfect day.
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Fitch!!!
