Kanita + John | Hotel Northampton Wedding

Talk about a perfect Hotel Northampton wedding to start out our 2017 wedding season!! Hotel Northampton in Northampton Massachusetts is a dream venue and all of Kanita’s small touches made the day beautiful. It is such a blessing to kick off the wedding season with the Mangines! This was my first wedding since taking some courses during the off season, so I am particularly excited about having this opportunity to implement what have learned. This wedding just happened 2 days ago, and I am SO happy to be able to share the full highlights of my favorite shots of the wedding day so quickly! Being able to share shots from the wedding day within a week of shooting is something I am so excited to offer to my clients! I am loving it!

I have not known John & Kanita long, but one thing I loved about their day was how personal they made it. By the end of the night I felt like I had known them for years. These two are a match made in heaven and it was very clear that their family and friends all thought so.

It was great to be able to photograph the entire wedding day all in one location! This gave us plenty of time and made it easy to capture everything from start to finish, from getting ready to dancing the night away. When Kanita slipped on her dress she looked like she just popped out of a magazine, I kept saying during her portrait time “OMG your gorgeous! I don’t know if your having fun, but I am!” She was a dream to capture, but John certainly held his own too! As soon as I started posing him and taking his photos I was impressed to see how comfortable he was…a direct quote “yeah I do a lot of Instagram photos”. He was the life of the party!

As fun as these two were to photograph individually I can’t even express how amazing their portrait session was! They decided to do a first look, which I was thrilled about! This was my first time shooting a first look and I have to say I LOVED it! It gave them the opportunity to have a private moment and capture his face perfectly when he saw his bride. It also allowed us to have a relaxed time of portraits so that we were not rushing after the ceremony. All I have to say about their photos is they ROCKED it and we had an awesome time capturing gorgeous portraits they can forever look back on.

Kanita and John wrote their own vows which I LOVE and couldn’t wait to hear. Throughout their day i was able to witness John’s sweet and gentle love for Kanita. He is her rock, and her admiration for him and appreciation of the way he loves her was something I think everyone who attended could see.
