Newport Beach House Wedding | Newport Rhode Island Wedding Photographer
It was a beautiful day for a Newport Beach House Wedding in Newport, RI as we celebrated this styled shoot with a gorgeous couple. We decided on this venue because of its stunning water views and neutral backdrop to a beautiful travel themed day.
It’s easy to fall in love with Newport Rhode Island. When you visit, it feels luxurious and a million miles away from the normal day-to-day routine. I think anyone that has been in love can agree, sometimes it feels like you’re in a whole new world. This feeling paired perfectly with the compass details in the cake, the seating chart, and the stationary.
To support the travel theme we had a “Welcome” gift made by Lavender & Pine Gifting that included a Beach towel, sunscreen, and extra snacks, all nestled into a beach bag for each guest staying nearby. The escort board illustrated a map of Newport and all the great places people can visit. Instead of table numbers, guests could find their name at tables such as Ocean Cliff, The Breakers, and Regatta Place. We paired this map escort board with driftwood escort place cards designed by Wink Pink Ink Calligraphy. These escort “cards” added a unique touch that would allow each guest to also leave with a personalized memento of the occasion.
The cake brandished a beautiful blue world map, the base of the cake shone in gold leaf, as well as a golden compass accent that made this the wow factor of the day. Not only was the cake decorated expertly by I Need Sugar Therapy but Flowers by Justine did her research in terms of the local flora. The vines that ran across the cake can also be found at the famous Newport mansions. These vines were displayed with other beautiful florals including long grass and fronds that made it look like a truly modern beach wedding at the ceremony. The tall centerpieces drew the eye up to the delicate drift wood installations in the Newport Beach House as well as making a statement for the reception.
Another statement piece was the bride’s gown. As ever changing as a relationship can be in the beginning, this dress is also able to change into two different beautiful looks. This custom gown made by Andria Bird was a form fitting lace sheath with a silk organza skirt that was removable for the reception. The ocean breeze blew the skirt in elegant waves mirroring the waves breaking on the shoreline as they were photographed.
To tie the whole day together, what better way to ride into the sunset than with a car from Newport Classic Car Tours! They have multiple beautiful cars for couples to choose from to rent on their day or even to tour Newport. On this day the couple was able to ride off in an original Studebaker to enjoy the rest of their travels together in life.
