A SeaGlass & Oyster Inspired Coastal Wedding at The Owenego Inn | Connecticut Wedding Photographer

Emma & Michael had a beautiful wedding at the Owenego Inn in Branford, Connecticut. They met through mutual friends and the first night Michael met Emma he told her he was going to marry her and from that night on she couldn’t get him out of her head. They knew from their very first date that they were sole mates. Michael proposed in Disney in front of Cinderella’s castle. They both grew up going to Disney for family vacations so it was a special and meaningful place for both of them.

Emma & Michael love the water so they knew from the beginning they wanted a coastal wedding and water had to be incorporated! They had the perfect weather with a slight breeze on the water at Owenego Inn. The inspiration for the day was SeaGlass, oysters, and all things coastal. The SeaGlass green color palette was so pretty – the perfect neutral shades for this classic New England beach wedding. Emma wore a satin fit and flare with buttons down the back – it was such a classic and elegant look which was exactly what she wanted! She paired it with a gorgeous long cathedral veil with lace trim made by her mom. The perfect combo for a classic and elegant look.

Emma & Michael got married at the church she grew up in and had their cocktail hour/reception at the Owenego Inn. They put a lot of thought & detail into the hors d’oeuvres and signage at the reception. They had oysters, shrimp, charcuterie boards, sliders, mac & cheese, and so many more delicious options! The food was a big hit, Bourassa Catering did a fabulous job! The Owenego Inn has a beautiful beach area where we got some of the most dreamy photos with the perfect backdrop! The venue offered so many beautiful spots for photos. Everything was picture perfect and this was such a fun wedding to capture! Emma & Michael are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet and it was such an honor to meet their friends & family and photograph such a beautiful day!
