An Elegant Chateau Wedding at the Glen Manor House | Rhode Island Wedding Photographer

Ever since I met Sydney & Dan for their engagement shoot in Newport Rhode Island I have been so excited for their wedding at the Glen Manor House! Everything about this day was an absolute dream. They are the sweetest couple with the sweetest friends & family and capturing this special day was certainly one for the books!

Sydney wore a beautiful A-line French lace gown with a removable lace sheer top designed by Love Bird Bridal. It was the perfect mix of elegant & sophisticated, just like Sydney! They got had their ceremony at St. Mary’s Church, a historic Catholic church in downtown Newport, RI. Fun fact – John F. Kennedy got married at St. Mary’s in 1953. It is a beautiful church with gorgeous architecture. Following the ceremony they took a trolley to the Glen Manor House where their reception would take place. Glen Manor House is a gorgeous french chateau-inspired estate. The attention to detail, beautiful architecture, and view of the Sakonnet River make this venue one of Rhode Island’s most sought after. The photos we took in the upstairs room with in front of the beautiful windows with the light streaming through are some of my favorite of all time – so dreamy!

The reception had many personal touches and beautiful custom signage by Something Borrowed Event Decor. In lieu of favors Sydney & Dan made a donation to the American cancer society & the Alzheimer’s association. I loved this idea and wish I had thought of this for my wedding! Wright’s Dairy Farm & Bakery made a gorgeous white three-tiered cake with beading at the base of each layer. The night was filled with creative & fun introductions, meaningful speeches, sweet first dances, & the perfect sunset for some extra bride & groom photos on the dock by the water.

I am so excited to share so many beautiful moments from their romantic & elegant wedding day!
