Olivia and Sean’s wedding day at the beautiful Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island was the perfect reflection of their vision: coastal, luminous, and timeless. Set against the ocean views and classic New England charm of Newport, their celebration was filled with meaningful details, elegant design, and so many genuine, joy-filled moments.

Their love story is one of perfect timing. Before officially meeting, Olivia and Sean had been living right across the hall from one another without knowing it. Their paths finally crossed at a Halloween party in 2021, and from that night on, everything simply clicked. Over the next four years, they built a life together filled with love, laughter, and their beloved puppy, Bud.

Sean proposed during an alumni weekend trip back to Denison, bringing their story full circle in the sweetest way. He walked Olivia to the campus chapel seal, a meaningful spot they had carefully avoided since graduation, and asked her to marry him surrounded by the warmth of family and the memories of where their story began.

For their wedding day, Olivia and Sean chose Castle Hill Inn because Newport has always held such a special place in Olivia’s heart. She grew up visiting the area and falling in love with its coastal charm, always knowing it was where she hoped to get married one day. Years later, sharing that place with Sean made Castle Hill Inn the perfect setting for their wedding weekend.

The design for the day was a timeless coastal aesthetic brought beautifully to life by Shannon of SES Events. Crisp whites, soft blues, and fresh greens filled the day, creating an elegant palette that felt perfectly suited for the Newport setting. Plant Girl Floral designed classic, garden-style florals featuring voluminous blue hydrangeas, creamy white roses, airy light blue delphinium accents, and organic greenery throughout the celebration.

Olivia and Sean also included so many thoughtful personal touches. Their custom monogram was woven throughout the wedding day, from the stationery to the reception details, creating a refined and meaningful thread through the entire design. Their dog, Bud, also made the sweetest appearance on their custom drink stirrers, bringing such a fun and personal detail to cocktail hour. Olivia wore her mother’s veil, which added a sentimental layer to her timeless bridal look.

Olivia wore the “Vera” gown by Peter Langner, a classic silk magnolia dress with long sashes, while her bridesmaids wore sky blue Alfred Sung dresses that beautifully complemented the coastal palette. Sean wore a custom J. Hilburn tuxedo, with the groomsmen in black notch lapel tuxedos by Vera Wang.

From the emotional moments of getting ready, to portraits by the water, to a tented reception filled with music, candlelight, and celebration, every part of Olivia and Sean’s day felt intentional and full of joy. Castle Hill Inn provided the dreamiest coastal backdrop, and their vendor team brought every detail together so beautifully.
